Event Details

Summer of Creativity: Felting will work on capturing the spirit of New York's summer reading theme (All together Now) while presenting participants with an opportunity to create beautiful fiber art pieces at Wood Library.

Through guided discussion and instruction by art teacher Tami Fuller, participants will learn about the process of working with fiber materials and the several forms of fiber art. Their lessons will be broken into four modules: Needle felting exercise to acquaint with the mechanics of felting and best practices/techniques, Wet Felted Wool Vessels, Nuno Felt wearables to learn techniques and produce something tangible of value, and Nuno Felt frameable fine art pieces.

Classes will take place over the course of one week from 3-5pm. If you have any questions please contact alawrence@owwl.org for more information.
