Trees and the Urban Forest of the City of Canandaigua will be the subject of an informational presentation on Thursday April 25 at 7:00 pm at Wood Library.  Dr. Elizabeth Hane, Professor at RIT, and Shawn Kenaley, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Horticulture at FLCC, will talk about the important role of trees in urban environments, including the benefits of trees and the threats they face.  The Tree Advisory Board (TAB) of the City of Canandaigua and the Wood Library are sponsoring the program which will also provide information for homeowners and tree lovers on how to honor special trees in our community and the City’s designation as a Tree City, USA.  The program is free and open to everyone.
