Wood Library’s hotspot program provides free, secure, reliable, high-speed internet access to anyone who has a library card. The hotspots can be used with phones, laptops, chrome books, and other personal digital devices. Multiple devices can be connected at one time, making this an especially attractive option for families.
Even though Wood Library offers free public internet access in our building, the computers are in high demand and have time limits. People can also take advantage of our external WiFi access points which offer free internet access anywhere on library property. The challenge is that some people cannot easily get to the library – and it isn’t always convenient to sit outside the building for hours at a time to work on homework or a project.
Wood Library’s portable WiFi hotspot program addresses an ongoing critical need in our community.
Please donate on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, and help us purchase new hotspots for the public. Thank you!
