The 1816 Farmington Quaker Meetinghouse Museum and Wood Library are pleased to invite the public to a panel discussion of restorative justice at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24. Our panel features representatives of Partners in Restorative Initiatives, the Center for Dispute Settlement, and the Gandhi Center for Nonviolence.

This forum will highlight how these independent, Rochester-based organizations fulfill their shared mission of bringing peace to the community through practices of nonviolence, restorative justice, and mediation. Each organization has its own emphasis, and involvement ranges from community-based to mostly working within schools. This discussion will provide examples of how these groups have been effective at bringing peace to the community.
