Local author Linda Foster Tripp will do a short reading from her new book, Jamie and the Healing Box. It is a fictional story about an active ten year-old boy with a lively sense of humor. As he faces challenges, he puts items in a box to remind him of how he coped in different situations. A discussion of strategies the children have used or might use to deal with and heal from a variety problems will follow the reading.
Participants will be given boxes to decorate and take home to use as their own healing boxes.
Both Jamie and the Healing Box and her other book, Annie and the Healing Box, will be available for parents to purchase at $10 each.
