Join Wood Library for the return of our Hobart William Smith Seminar series via Zoom. We will have Professor Ben Ristow and Eric Herman discussing "Craft Knowledge & the Art of DIY Science Outreach". How can parents, teachers, artists, and scientists help others to explore the radical aspects of craft? Where can we cultivate a hands-on approach to science and art that takes knowledge to be of the hands and the heart rather than the stuff of a textbook or how-to manual? How can we save ourselves from ourselves and rebuild our way of knowing through material exploration and a rejection of throwaway consumer culture?Registration required for Zoom Code
