Event Details
The American Red Cross (ARC) Babysitter Training is designed for 11 to 15-year-olds who are interested in becoming certified as an American Red Cross Babysitter. The training provides youth who are planning to babysit become equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. The ARC Babysitter Training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid.

- What to do in an emergency and how to stay safe
- Choosing activities that are age-appropriate
- Recognizing, understanding and handling certain behaviors
- Starting your babysitting business
An American Red Cross certificate/card will be issued to each student upon successful completion of the course.
This course is $75, participants are encouraged to pay before the class. Payments can be made by cash, check (made out to Wood Library), or card.
