Art Reception: Nancy Yacci

Meet Nancy Yacci and enjoy her exhibit titled “How I See It: The Artist’s Eye”. The exhibit will be on display Sunday, April 16 through Friday, June 2nd.

In the artist’s own words:

“All forms of art have always interested me.  As a small child, my grandmother shared her love of classical paintings, inspiring me to view art wherever and whenever possible.

Since retiring from school nursing, I have found more time to create.  I began by taking art classes with Nancy Lane, Pat Tribastone, and Pat Rini Rohrer.  Each of them shared their unique talents and techniques with me.

I have enjoyed exploring watercolor, pastels, and oil painting.  Each medium, offers a different way to convey what I see through my artist’s eye.

Animals are a particular joy for me to portray on canvas.  I seek to convey their personality via their eyes.

As a member of The Ontario County Arts Council, I am part of the rotating exhibits in various settings.
